Lodge Manufacturing is one of America's oldest cookware companies in continuous operation. Founded in 1896 by Joseph Lodge, it is still owned and managed by the descendants of the Lodge family. All of the company’s cast iron cookware is produced at the foundry in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. It has been which has been in operation since the company first opened.

One of our favorite Lodge pieces is the Mast Store logoed cast iron skillet. Julie, a member of the Mast Store Family, raves:

lodge-1.jpg"This is my absolute favorite pan to make cornbread in. My 37-year-old Lodge skillet is good, but the Mast pan is better. The weight of the pan conducts heat perfectly, and I always have a beautifully browned, crisp-crusted “cake” of cornbread. The pan is also my favorite go-to wedding or housewarming present, ‘cause everybody needs a cast iron skillet."

As the only remaining manufacturer of cast iron cookware in the United States, Lodge has a rich and lasting legacy. It’s a special kind of cookware that never goes out of style and can be passed down for generations.
