Bolga Market Basket - Large
Stylish picnic carrier
Bolga Baskets are all completely hand-woven and come in as many unique sizes, colors, and patterns as they have household uses. These baskets are traditionally used for carrying goods to and from the market. Weavers in the region use the abundant Veta Vera grass found in northern Ghana to create these incredibly hardy baskets. The leather wrapped handle adds to its durability. From a gardening partner, to a grocery carrier; a picnic basket to the centerpiece of a fine living room, Bolga Baskets' uses are limited only by your imagination. The Large Bolga Market Basket is just the right size for magazines or a stylish way to bring in the harvest from the garden or produce bought at the local farmer's market. Each basket is unique, no two are the same, and they come in assorted colors and designs— we'll choose one for you!
Why we love it:
"I loved my first Bolga Basket so much that I've added several to my collection over the years. They have so many uses, are incredibly sturdy, and their gently flexible wicker frame fits into tight spaces. I especially like the soft leather on the handle that makes for a softer, slip-free grip. I fill my Bolga Baskets with fresh produce at the farmer's market; a casserole, utensils, and bottle of wine pack nicely for potluck dinners; and each of our girls have their own basket for picking up their toys around the house to take back to their rooms. Bolga Baskets are practical, pretty, and make a wonderful gift for any occasion."
