Goo Goo Clusters are a tasty Southern treat invented in Nashville in 1912, and they have been delighting folks young and old ever since! How could this confectionery masterpiece not please with its magical, gooey combination of caramel, marshmallow nougat, fresh roasted peanuts and real milk chocolate? The Goo Goo Cluster was truly unique when it was first introduced, since it was the first mass-produced retail candy to feature more than one principal ingredient. Prior to its introduction, candy bars were manufactured using solely chocolate, caramel, or taffy. So every time you eat one of these, know that you’ll be eating a little piece of candy history!
