It's no question then, that I should become so fascinated with the North Face Paramount Active Convertible Pants. While many other companies may offer breathable polyester, moisture reducing products, the Paramount Actives are a step above. First of all, you will notice how these pants are impossibly thin and lightweight, while also being durable and stretchy from the waistband to the ankle cuffs. Some outdoor enthusiasts enjoy heavy duty cargo pants with pockets galore, the Paramounts are designed to have just what you need, nothing more. Two standard front pockets, one wallet-sized rear pocket, and one essential side-zip pocket for important items gives you just enough storage options while still allowing for maximum mobility. What comes standard with these pants, like most of TNF's outdoor products, is a durable-water-repellant finish, which, in combination with the flash-dry material, will be sure to keep you comfortable during those afternoon showers in the mountains. My personal favorite feature of these pants is the thin elastic drawstring which allows you to secure and tighten the waistband without requiring a conventional belt. This comes in handing for backpacking when you have an additional padded hip-belt. All of these features are why I choose the Paramount Active Convertibles for all of my Spring and Summer hiking adventures this year.
